On 27th April 2024, after attending the Post Office Horizon IT Public Inquiry as observers, Tony Downey and his daughter Katie were guests at the Post Office Scandal - The Inside Story live event at the South Mills Arts centre in Bishop's Stortford with Nick Wallis.

One of the post office's most senior managers, Angela van den Bogerd, faces big questions today at the inquiry into the Horizon IT scandal, which saw the lives of hundreds of sub-postmasters totally devastated by allegations of theft and false accounting.

The daughter of a former Lake District sub-postmaster has set up a support group for the children of victims and is also calling for additional compensation.

Speaking to ITV Border, Katie Downey spoke of how the Horizon scandal destroyed her relationship with her parents.
